While these ancient reptiles certainly have most of our attention, there are other beasts that existed beyond dinosaurs. Join us as we look at each one of them.
Going beyond dinosaurs leads us to several other ancient beasts that existed in prehistoric times. For instance, the ice age is known as the Pliocene epoch, and it had mammoths, Homo sapiens, mastodons, dire wolves, and more. Many of these creatures fascinate us just as much as dinos, which is why we created a specific section for them.
There were eight periods that existed before the Mesozoic era in a time known as the Paleozoic era. Some of these include Cambrian, Ordovician, and Silurian. It was during these times that formations of life began in the seas, such as brachiopods, armored fish, ammonids, beetles, and so much more.
The Cenozoic era followed the Mesozoic with two periods that extend into modern times. While we won’t focus too much on these periods, we may touch on them where they relate to interesting prehistoric beasts, such as those from the Ice Age. So stay tuned for articles below that cover everything beyond dinosaurs.
