We’re sure many of you have bought the small clay kits in the stores and had some fun excavating the toy dinos. Actually discovering dinosaur fossils in an excavation site is another matter altogether. You can’t simply go digging, hoping to the high heavens that you don’t break the bones.
There are different techniques paleontologists use to safely excavate various types of dinosaur bones or fauna fossils. Besides using the right equipment, you also need to make sure you do it the correct way. Fortunately, we can guide you on several of these.
